Mariella Villalobos

 
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Mariella grew up for the first portion of her life in Santiago, Chile, before returning to Canada. She attended the Alberta College of Art & Design and receiving her Bachelor of Design Degree in 2010.
 
She currently lives in Calgary, Alberta.



Why "Town of Wolves"?

Because that is the translation of "Villalobos", an admittedly difficult to pronounce and spell last name for the average anglophone. 


Interests: independent music (especially Canadian), Film (SO MUCH FILM), book publishing/literature, graphic novels, theatre, classical ballet, etc.
 
Influences: Kurt Halsey, Dave McKean, Sam Weber, Jillian Tamaki, Art Nouveau, squids
 
Obsessions: flowing lines, curlicues, Victorian Speculative Fiction, folklore/mythology, Sunset Rubdown (they're a band).
